Muebles Nomad offers you a wide variety of furniture and decorative objects in different styles from hand-carved mahogany to recycled teak, bamboo and leather. You can find pieces that are out of the ordinary, different in style, unique and exclusive. We have furniture from multiple suppliers, with an ever-changing catalogue. We look for manufacturers, without intermediaries, to ensure the best price for furniture and decorative objects.

Our family has been working in transport and furniture for three generations, in four different countries. Our 60 years of experience in these areas, combined with knowledge of logistics and customs regulations all over the world, gives us the opportunity to offer our clients the best possible service, and as we are Scottish, at the best price!

Furniture Importation

Six years ago, we opened in Chapala, Mexico, importing/exporting and commercializing furniture. We import goods from Indonesia, East Timor, China, India, Vietnam, etc. covering decorative items, accessories, statues, furniture, case goods and more.

Moving Service

Three years ago, we brought the other family business into our Mexican company, using our own furniture moving teams, our own contacts and our own importation license, we were able to open NOMAD MOVING, helping customers with domestic, international logistics and household moves.

We have a 1000 m2 store in Chapala, Jalisco, where you can see our products on display or ask the team about any of the moving services we offer. You can also now visit us in our new location in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.

Moving and logistics

Moving houses can be stressful, especially if you are crossing international borders. There are many moving parts to the operation and between governments customs officials, local regulations, taxes and paperwork, it can be overwhelming. That’s why you want a team like us!

We import/export and do transport/logistics for our own furniture business here in Mexico, which means if there is a problem you can have moving goods in Mexico, we can assure you, it’s happened to us!

Problems with customs officials on either side of the border, requests for additional searches, having customs size the shipments because of recent changes in law, a pandemic shutting down a port of entry and slowing all shipments – you name it, it’s happened.

What this gives you – is a bilingual team that has seen it all, we know what to do, who to talk to, and what the best ways are to handle the problems that arise. We help our clients by giving them all the information they need to make informed decisions, avoid issues and deal quickly with those that arise.

We have been doing this for years, we have contacts at crossing points and ports to help us, we know how customs officials work, and how to work with them.  If you are moving soon, and would like a quote, please let us know. Even if you are far from move date, and are just looking for information, our team will be happy to give you all the help you need.
